Please View the clinic on
creating backdrops at: http://www.northriverrailway.net/BACKDROPS.pdf before you begin to see how
such images are created in used.
Take a picture of each structure
to be exchanged or included in a backdrop. Camera should be positioned
"straight on" at the horizon level. Note that the exact angle
of the roof can be critical and should be the same between all pictures
submitted.
Resolution will usually not need
to exceed 300 pixels/inch as a backdrop usually is not the main point of
viewing and therefore detail will not be critical
The maximum size should not be
more than 1024 x 760 pixels while the minimum size can be considerably
less. This will be determined mostly by the size of the building or
structure shown. It is best to use dimensions such that the image is
life size and mostly fills the frame
All pictures should be in GIF
format with the sky as the transparent layer. This allows the
"stacking" of images when creating a backdrop in a photo editor
The main [HO] Images should not
be over 500mb except for extremely large structures. You can generate the
(3) other sizes of the image or I can do it for you.
