While some take pleasure in their purebred, pedigreed canine friends we take great pride in our new addition who is the result of least a dozen breeds all blended into one delightful, happy puppy.

You see, once upon a time, in the middle of November, there was this poor little dog.  It was raining and she was found by a nice lady named Amber along with three of her siblings.  They were all  cold, drenched from a local rain storm and miserable

GoodDogRescue, a CT.  based group of volunteers provides forever and foster homes where she was nursed back to health and old enough to be let out for adoption

Then Petfinder, a database of over 9000 shelters entered the scene.  Was there anyone who would be willing to give a cute little puppy a new home?

Anyone from Connecticut?

Meanwhile, in Connecticut, there was Shadow.  She was pining away from her loss of a lifetime friend and companion.   She had everything.  Food, shelter and nice humans to throw her ball

She even had a back yard to run and play in and took long walks, but her life was empty.  Unknown to her, her humans had talked to the nice people at GoodDogRescue and Holly, her new companion was on her way.

Holly arrived in the Glastonbury, CT commuter parking lot in style with her own air-conditioned trailer.  Okay, it wasn’t exactly private accommodations but certainly in style with air conditioning and USDA approved.

The lot was full of strange people.  Where, oh where were her new people?  So many other puppies and so many more People.

Hmmm.  The grass is not quite as green as I thought and it sure is a bit cooler here.  Not bad though.  Oh, Hi there.  Do you live here too?  I sure hope we can get along.

Oh look!  This is wonderful.  Our very own tree with all sorts of dangly toys!  It looks a bit dry though so maybe I should help water it?  Anyway, I suppose this is where my name came from.  There sure is a lot of Holly around here.

Now that was a good romp

ZOOOMMMMM !

Huh?   WHAT WAS THAT?

Maybe I should hold on to my toys.  That thing looks like it could pick up anything.

Hey um, this thing isn’t going to sweep me up too, is it?
