Sometimes after a busy time roughhousing I like to take are rest or even sleep where I am snug and protected.

We’re sorry but the couch is busy at the moment.  Why don’t you humans come back sometime later when it’s not busy.

I love mommy.  Isn’t it sweet for her to give me just a few minutes for downtime and a little bit of cuddling.

One thing should be explained here before you jump to the wrong conclusion.  Shadow and Holly ARE playing.  It’s just that they move so fast it is so hard to get a good picture.  I promise that while no blood was spilled, both dogs were left with a sopping wet neck after their play.  Doesn’t she look ferocious?
